NYC Skeptics to be well represented at TAM8

The Amaz!ng Meeting, hosted each year in Las Vegas by the James Randi Educational Foundation, is the largest skeptical conference in the world. "TAM," as it is affectionately known, boasts presenters, panelists, and attendees from every part of the skeptical spectrum. This year, New York City Skeptics is proud to once again be well represented:

  • NYC Skeptics vice president Jamy Ian Swiss, who has participated in every TAM except one, will once again join James Randi on stage for a special "interview."
  • Rationally Speaking podcast host and NYC Skeptics board member Massimo Pigliucci will both present and participate in a panel discussion on Global Climate Change.
  • Rationally Speaking co-host Julia Galef will moderate a paranormal investigations panel.
  • NYC Skeptics is also co-sponsoring a very special Drinking Skeptically @ TAM8. The event will take place at 9PM on Thursday July 8 in the Silverado Lounge.
  • NECSS 2009 DVDs and NECSS 2010 t-shirts will be on sale at the Skeptics Guide to the Universe table. These items will be available at special TAM discounted pricing.

If you will be in attendance at TAM8, please stop and say hi to your fellow NYC Skeptics!
