The Northeast Conference on Science & Skepticism (NECSS - pronounced "nexus") is our skeptical and scientific conference held anually in New York City.

As its name suggests, NECSS seeks to explore the intersection of science, media, education, politics, and popular culture, and examine how we may best utilize that understanding to promote a more rational world.

Past NECSS presenters include James Randi, Richard Wiseman, D.J. Grothe, George Hrab, Julia Galef, John Rennie, Steve Mirsky, Rachael Dunlop, Steve Novella, and Rebecca Watson.

The first NECSS was held in September of 2009 and attracted a sell-out crowd of over 400 attendees. NECSS 2012 is currently in the planning stages. For more information please visit www.necss.org.

NECSS is produced by the New England Skeptical Society and New York City Skeptics.
